Today's Sky

Finding today’s sky…

How to play Today's Sky

Each planet chimes as it crosses the line above the sun.

There's one new sky each day, the same for everyone. Press Listen to hear its 12-second song: its planets stay hidden, but each one lights the line as it chimes. Then rebuild the sky. Tap a ring to add a planet; tap a planet to remove it. Listen again replays the song as often as you like.

Skies grow through the week (Mon–Tue 2 planets, Wed–Sat 3, Sun 4). When yours has all its planets, check it. You get 5 checks, and each one marks your planets:

  • right ring, in time
  • right ring, out of time
  • an amber arrow points the way to move it (two chevrons: it's far)
  • not in the sky (or an extra on its ring)

Tip: anchor on the opening chord, the chimes that start the song. Then listen for where planets meet: each moment two chime together pins down their timing.

Space bar pauses. This sky uses sound: if you hear nothing, check your volume (and, on a phone, the silent switch).
